Philip Groben joined the firm of Forrest L. Ingram, P.C. in August of 2009 as a law clerk.. Philip was able to begin immediately to serve our clients' needs due to his prior legal work experience including his externships with the Office of the United States Trustee for Region 11, the Honorable Bruce W. Black, and the Honorable Brigid Mary McGrath. Philip became a full time attorney in the Firm in November 2009. His duties at Forrest L. Ingram, P.C. include representing small to medium sized businesses, as well as individuals, in chapter 11 reorganizations and chapter 7 liquidations. He has already brought two chapter 11 reorganization cases to successful confirmation of the debtors' plans, and has represented various clients in chapter 13 consumer reorganizations and chapter 7 bankruptcies. Philip has experience working with clients through the entirety of their bankruptcy cases; from helping them gather the information necessary for initial court filings, to drafting motions, disclosure statements, and plans, and appearing in court on contested matters and at chapter 11 plan confirmation hearings.
Jack O'Connor joined the firm in September, 2010 as a law clerk, and has been a full time associate since November, 2010. Before joining the firm, Jack served as an extern to Bankruptcy Judge Bruce W. Black and as a research assistant to Professor Paul Lewis at The John Marshall Law School. During law school, Jack also worked as a law clerk at Johnson & Bell, Ltd. in Chicago on a range of litigation matters including defending business tort claims and premises liability issues. Jack's duties at the firm include representation of corporate chapter 11 clients, and consumer debtors in chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcies. Jack graduated from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago magna cum laude in 2010, and served as the Executive Lead Articles editor for THE JOHN MARSHALL LAW REVIEW as a law student.
Michael V. Ohlman first joined the firm of Forrest L. Ingram, P.C. in October 2009 as an Independent Counsel. He became a full-time employee of the firm in February 2010. Mike currently concentrates his practice in commercial bankruptcy, civil litigation, and appeals. Previously, as an associate in the firm of Tamari & Blumenthal, LLC, he served as litigation counsel in commercial cases throughout the state, represented business clients in the Northern District of Illinois, represented international creditors in bankruptcy proceedings, and was counsel in commercial and residential landlord tenant ordinance appeals before the First District Court of Appeals. Mike also brings with him diverse talents and expertise resulting from a professional consulting career in software development, network infrastructure and database management. While at John Marshall Law School, Michael served as a research assistant to Professor Allen Kamp and Professor Cliff Scott-Rudnick. He also served as an extern for The Honorable Judge Bruce Black in the Bankruptcy Division of the United States District Court in the Northern District of Illinois and was a legal clerk for The Honorable Judge Ponce de Leon of the Fourth Municipal District of Cook County. He assisted Professor Baastian Van Zelst from the Universiteit te Amsterdam with research and editing for his book calling on the European Union to adopt a version of the Uniform Commercial Code. Michael brings to the Firm, among other things, an abundance of positive energy, a creative problem-solving approach to difficult matters, a sharp intelligence, and a cooperative spirit. He has already obtained positive results in several appeals since joining the Firm; he serves as lead counsel in various litigation in state and federal courts, and he heads the Firm's Collections Department. |
